September Merchant Update
We are very pleased to report that Christmas Village 2021 is going to happen! We met with the Nashville Fairgrounds staff to discuss the logistics of the show. We do not anticipate limitations on crowd size. We are putting safeguards in place to alleviate risk during the pandemic while planning for a successful 60th anniversary event!
The following provisions will be made:
- Masks will be required of all individuals including shoppers, volunteers andmerchants, Fairgrounds staff and security (this is required by theFairgrounds as it is a municipal building and there is a mask mandate ineffect)
- We are limiting merchants to roughly 210 so that we will spread out a bit inorder to alleviate huge crowds in any given area
- We will have designated eating/drinking areas so that shoppers are notwalking around with masks down. An occasional sip and return to maskingwill be expected
- No food samples will be allowed. The restrictions for sampling are verystrict and due to the fact that we do not want shoppers walking aroundeating and drinking we will not allow any food samples at the show.
We understand that no one likes the limitations of COVID, but we feel that it is imperative that we establish terms for the safest event possible. We are adamant about protecting our merchants and volunteers! We want you all to have a successful show and we are in this as volunteers to raise money for our philanthropies!
If you feel that you will not be able to comply with our terms, please email the merchant chair. Based on our board’s decision, we will offer partialrefunds this year. We have incurred operational expenses and cannot become insolvent over this year’s show. We thank you in advance for your support and cooperation during this tough time.
We look forward to seeing you all in November. We will send out more show details in early October regarding shipping, parking, set up etc. We just felt it was important to touch base and let you all know where we stand as of today!
